• I started as a junior engineer to work on minor bugs but quickly jumped into product/feature planning, data analysis & building to shipping products.
• Built Promoted Products (Ads), PH's first Ad system and generated a lot of revenue for the company.
• I have been the lead developer for the Golden Kitty Awards, like the Oscars for tech.
• I built a spam system that would detect spam activities across the site, and it's been catching a lot of the spam.
• Built an A/B testing tool for newsletter subjects, and it would find the best subject line within a few minutes so that the newsletter could be delivered to the rest of the subscribers as soon as possible.
• I have optimized a lot of slow queries and fixed a couple of N+1s across the site, improving the site's performance.
• I worked on semantic search, which improved search results & allowed users to search based on descriptions & not just keywords.
• Worked on Product Hunt Discussions for Makers Group, which has now been used as PH Discussion, where many makers would ask questions or share knowledge.
• I was an associate team lead responsible for mentorship & overseeing progress.
• Have handled security or spam attacks.
